A Study in Spacing

Before & After

For this small Upper Arlington Cape Cod, the owners wanted to expand the existing closed-in Kitchen and space was at a premium.

We used several techniques to make it feel more open, including continuous flooring that was custom finished on-site and a cleverly skinny island.

Budget: Interior under $100K

Plans & Renderings

After removing a non-loadbearing wall, hardwood floors were feathered in throughout the first floor to connect the spaces. Adding classic white cabinetry and durable quartz provided a timeless feel to the spaces.

A petite Island with integrated seating is a perfect breakfast spot for family members, and a custom side-swing window was added over the sink for easy passage into the Sunroom.
