An Intersection of History

Before & After

Todd Tibbals (1910-1988) was a prominent Columbus architect responsible for notable residential and commercial buildings throughout Central Ohio. Tibbals designed this home for his own family in Grandview.

When considering the kitchen remodel, we were careful to respect the historical significance of the space while incorporating the European style the homeowners desired.

Plans & Renderings

With an affinity for European style, the homeowners longed for a kitchen in the style of Poggenpohl. This German designer is known for innovative finishes, integrated cabinetry and modern style. To infuse this style, we selected clean birch cabinet fronts with integrated finger pulls for a seamless look, a fun geometric tile, and open shelving to maximize light.

Sleek cabinets and open shelving draw light into the new kitchen. Finger grooves and custom wooden handles keep the look uncluttered.

This design harkens back to the original home which featured warm woods, rich blue accents, and white plaster.
