In parallel with a kitchen remodel in this open-concept first floor, we spent a little time revving up a dated fireplace. Incorporating a television above the fireplace maintains a central focal point in this cozy space. We used Florida Tile Ledgerstone in Coal Splitface (Drystack) and a custom Mantel to turn this dated spot into a stunner.

The natural and muted cool colors in this fireplace rejuvenation tie it in perfectly with the rest of the new kitchen. The wood tone of the mantel mirrors the hood treatment in the adjacent kitchen. A well-proportioned area rug anchors the space and invites visitors to stay and relax.
