Fabulously Functional Bath

This bathroom remodel followed on the heels of a kitchen project in this Upper Arlington home that optimized the space for culinary creation and togetherness. Homeowners enlisted the Haus Studio team to reimagine their master bath as well.

Subtle, cleverly disguised design elements make the new bathroom well-suited for aging in place. A barrier-free shower eliminates tripping hazards, and highly contrasting tile colors between the shower and bath areas ensure that the space differences will still be easily recognizable in poor light or poor vision situations. The sink ledge provides attractive display storage for favorite toiletries. The shower bench is versatile and can be used as shelving or seating as needs dictate. The shower system is the highlight of this new space, featuring offset gold-toned controls. Offset controls near the shower entrance allow for turning the water on while not getting wet until the homeowner is ready to step deeper into the shower.
