Blending Traditions
Before & After
This couple had one clear agreement: the outdated, cramped kitchen had to go. With two young kids, they needed more space, storage, and flow. By widening doorways and walkways, the kitchen became a hub for family cooking and connection. Though their styles clashed—her trendy, his traditional—we blended both into a unique, eclectic design. Dark moody cabinets and a plaster hood reflected her modern taste, while a wood island, marble countertops, and hand-crafted tile brought in his classic feel. Custom shaker doors, split in a modern way, perfectly fused both aesthetics into one cohesive, personalized space they both love.
Plans & Renderings
During the planning and design phase, we focused on blending the couple’s contrasting styles. Natural quartzite countertops, dark blue cabinetry, and brushed gold finishes created a rich, balanced look. Careful space planning ensured flow and function for their young family, while thoughtful material choices reflected both modern and traditional aesthetics.
